A. In ancient China, there was a temple on the top of a mountain. The mountain was so high, so the monk had to go downhill every day. He went to fetch water for drinking, using a bar and two buckets. The buckets hung on the bar, hung at the end of the bar and hung opposite ends of the bar. One day, another monk came and helped the first monk; they fetched water together. Each man helped the bar, so they put one bucket in the middle. The next day, a third monk joined them, and they became lazy. All three monks carried the bar,; Oone monk was at each end of the bar and Oone monk was in the middle of the bar, but there was no bucket. So they had no water to drink.
