Abstract
Lumajang Regency has great potential to become a favorite tourist destination. The main reason is the presence of the B29 peak viewing spot to see a beautiful scenery of Mount Bromo, Mount Semeru, and surrounding areas,. It is also othnear nothear tourist attractions, such as Pura Mandhara Giri Semeru Agung, lakes and waterfalls, as well as the traditional village of the Tengger Tribe, Argosari Village. Various attractions are located in one of the districts named the Senduro District. In the area of the Senduro district, there includes a protected area ofcalled Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park and in disaster-prone areas, especially the eruption of Mount Bromo and Semeru. As a destination that stores various potential, especially natureal attractions, this district requires a master plan to guide the development, marketing, and other aspects.
The research method used is a descriptive, qualitative approach. The population is the entire tourism stakeholder in the Senduro District. Similarly, snowball sampling technique used by specifying the key informants. CThe collection procedures performed were found ithn research in books and, journals and field study. The procedure of data processing is done through the process of examining the data, data reduction, data presentation and data verification (conclusion). Descriptive data wereas analyzed qualitatively using SWOT analysis.
The study identified the Senduro District physical, socio-cultural, socio-economic conditions, and tourism aspect such as tourist attraction, facilities, and accessibilities. The nature tourism, tourism product, and the regional planning concepts are the theoryies used to analyze the current condition of the study area .
The result showed the development strategy regarding zoning and clustering regulation, visitor management technique and interpretation programs, coordination between stakeholders, as well as environmental conservation programs.
