I, CPS investigator, Sharrai Benavides, spoke with Mr. Williams today. Mr. Williams has known Ms. Johns-Williams for over 30 years. He stated that she is a good mother to their daughter. Mr. Williams stated that no one in the home is using drugs or is a heavy alcohol user. Mr. Williams also stated that they have enough food in the home to eat. Mr. Williams stated that he has never noticed any marks or bruises on his grandchildren. He stated that when he saw the children today they looked good and healthy. If he suspected abuse or neglect, Mr. Williams would contact CPS or law enforcement.
I, CPS investigator, Sharrai Benavides, spoke with Mr. Simpson today. Mr. Simpson stated that he has known Mr. Williams since he was about 9 or 10 years old. He stated that Mr. Williams is a great father to his kids and that he does the best he can for them. He also stated that he knows Mr. Williams's kids mean a lot to him. Mr. Simpson stated that the last time he saw the family was on May 30th,. hHe stated that he recalls this day because it was Game 7 of the NBA playoffs. Mr. Simpson stated that the kids appeared to be in good health and overall looked good overacll, except that they didn’t have haircuts. He stated that no one in the home uses drugs or is a heavy alcohol drinker. Mr. Simpson also stated that he has never noticed any marks or bruises on the children. If he suspected abuse or neglect, Mr. Simpson would contact CPS or law enforcement.
