Plastic waste at the coastal wetland in a Martil beach in the, north-west of Morocco, is onea of threcent problems twhat has appeared reicently and ith has increased noticeably,. tThis phenomenon needs a major effort and works to mitigate the effects. A field of study has been done on the beach of Martil city, one of the most important tourist areas of the Mediterranean's coast of the kingdom of Morocco. We have chosen this beach in aimed to determine the extent of pollution by studying solid and plastic waste, in its intensity, its sources and its types iand, this was carried out by sample collection, sorting, classifying and processing the data statistically. The results of our study showed that about 80% of the waste on the beach was plastic thius indicateing the unhealthy state of the beach of Martil. a We conclude that forthe plasurtic waste will have a negative impact on the coastal environment, marine species and human health.
