Frame Semantics asserts that encyclopedic knowledge is storesd as frames in the mind and helps people to understand discourse. According to Lee (1997; 2001), frames, as one of the fundamental concepts in Ccognitive Ggrammar, can be employed in discourse and conversation analysis. Following this argument, the present study attempts to analysise some Persian conversations. To this end, we apply this concept as an analytical tool to show that, just as frames are useful in utterance interpretation, they may mcreakte communication disorder (misinterpretation or non-understanding) due to their differences. The results obtained from this analysis reveals that communication disorder created by diversity in frames, can be examined on two levels. Sometimes there are different kinds of frames in a participants's mind. In these situations, we can see the hearer's misinterpretation or non-understanding. In other situations, one definite frame includes different concepts in a participants's mind and this causes misinterpretation for the hearer.
