What happened next is, after telling their rep about nthe lack of follow -up and I my disappointment then, I getwas told to wait and provide mey identity to them,. tThen Wells Fargo ruans my credit instead of pulling out the application that they already have, which I submitted on March 7th. andThey decide to run my credit again, which at the time resulted into two hard inquiries on my credit, —not to forgment tio forgetn, a day later, they also lost the copies of my identifications they had made from my visit of visit and asked me to mail them again. Going back to, once they re-ran, the same thing happened,: appearance of fraud alert.
For aAnother time, the Wells Fargo rep notifiesold me to wait until their Ffraud investigation team contacted me in 1-2 business days via phone to verify my identity by asking security questions, but only then if I return back to him or any other branch and be present myself in person when they call their investigation team. With all of the frustration building and the amount of time and efforts I put in so, I didn’t want to chance anything. I then Vvisited a second time at the branch on March 20th and the same happened, but this time they connected me to Fthe fraud Ddepart.ment, except that their superiors those who oversees fraud alerts issues were off on Saturdays, and the assistant asked the questions theand asked me to wait one business days to know whether I was approved or not. Even then, for several days after I didn’t hear back, I called Wells Fargo repeatedly almost every day to know the outcome of pending alert, but not until I filed a formal complaint.
Basically I was given athe run -around for three weeks by Wells Fargo Bank because by their not doing the follow -up. What amazed me the most is that they claim in their letters they mailed stating they “Aattempted” to reach me and that I needed to contact them to clear fraud alert. Not only did I make multiple visits I made to their branches considering (once I missed a paid day at work), but I also end ofured all the stress and inconvenience along with the many phone calls I made to Wells Fargo Ffraud Ddepartment. iIn the end, when they did responded a week after I filed a formal complaint, and that it was like they were tracking my checking account activities that to be below $200, because to obtain the Wells Fargo Secured Credit Card, Wells Fargo requires a $200 deposit and whsinche I didn’t hadve enough funds juston that particular day during the entire time when I did, even then I told that rep to please have the deposit taken out by that Friday. After waiting for another two weeks, Wells Fargo sendt me the letter by mail stating that they had denied my application due to insufficient funds in my Wells Fargo checking account. To paint thea pic ture of the problem, by fraud alert on my credit, no one ever follows up.
