Proposed Evaluation Plan

At the end of any training program, evaluation plays an integral part to estimate the future success of the proposed program. I would therefore, I would also like to suggest an evaluation plan for the proposed preceptor-training program. FA formative evaluation is recommended for the proposed preceptor-training program, formative evaluation is recommended, in order to explore the effectiveness and to predict the success of the training program. tThus, formative evaluations assist in obtaining details that helps in upgrading the program (Hodges & Videto, 2011).
Post-test, based on multiple-choice questions and true and false, could be used at the end of each module, along with a Likert scale questionnaire. Post- test will assess the post -training understanding of an individual on specific module, and the Likert scale questionnaire will assess the experience and satisfaction of the participants with regards to topics covered in the module and assistance provided during the training. Summative evaluation is advicsed at 6six months post -preceptor training program to explore the impact of preceptor training program on the novice nurse retention and the rates of turn over.
