We have all heard the statements about what being nice gets you. In life, as in business, some times it takes a firm hand, and that means you can't be every bodiey's friend. However, that doesn't necessarily mean you can't run your business ethically and be a "nice guy". Ethical decision will always present themselves, and it is a matter of the principles upon which a company is build ont ias to how they handle those decisions. Taking short cuts can lead to quick profits; however, those gains are rarely sustainable, and companies wind up losing more than they gained in the end. The world business world is full of doors, and some doors are locked while others are open. Behinds these doors are pathways. The mMost of the locked doors that are locked are for a reason, and are filled with unethical choices. . Just because you can knock down these doors doesn't mean you should. While doors that are open lead you down paths that rough and hard to follow,however, if you able to navigate them, they will lead you to success. For my discussion, I have chosen 3M as my nice guy company.
