I believe, all children have their own preferred learning style, and I try to take a multiple teaching strategy approaches for the needs of all pupils. Additionally, I have high expectations for every child, because it allows them to reach their full potential. Experience has shown to me that learning is socially constructed which supports Vygotsky’s theory of learning. For this reason, I believe children need an opportunity to work with myself and other children to learn and progress. However, I have found that conversation between pupils can happen when the teacher provides structure and direction. Furthermore, children should be able to express their ideas and have opportunities to direct their own learning.
