As an educator, I focused on catering to the social, emotional, and educational needs of the students and on establishing trusting relationships with diverse students. The ten years that I spent teaching at a public school in Dae-Gu, South Korea, helped me build a solid foundation for my career as an educator. For three years, I was part of Wounded Worrier WARRIOR?? Project at Pennsylvania State University as a research assistant. Currently, I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and have been developing mentor-mentee relationships with students at Central Michigan University. Recently, I have become the Pre-Occupational Therapy Club advisor. Under my guidance, undergraduate students have produced a variety of community-based programs and volunteer activities for individuals with disabilities. This summer, I initiated a study abroard program with a public school of special education in South Korea which availed educational opportunities for students to work with children with intellectual disabilities.
