Ambition has the power to drive one off the edge of sanity. Desire for success has the power to determine one’s decisions and fate. In theShakespeare's play, MacBeth by shakespeare, it shows how the power of ambition affects overall decisions and fate.

Macbeth makes many unwise decisiondecisions, due to his ambition for power, that have also affectedaffect his morals, actions, and reactions. When Macbeth isthe prophecies are revealed of the propheciesto Macbeth, he lets the ambition for the to come true. His moralmorals begin to change, he kills King Duncan ((who trusted him), takes over as king (when he has no right to), and his reactions which include killing men, women, and children in order to maintain power. "Let not light see my black and deep desires. The eye wink at the hand; yet let that be. Which the eye fears, when it is done, to see." (1.4.55-60).
The outcome of Macbeth’s decisions was greatly determined by the power of
his ambition. His ambition, at first, leads him toward success,; he became king. Although his ambition obligated him to kill many great people in his life, like his best-friendbest friend Banquo and King Duncan. "What's done cannot be undone" (5.1.63-463-4).
