The problem is in the informallyinformal recycling, which happens in countries like china, rwandaChina, Rwanda and other countries in africa Africa.
At these informal recycling workshops, men,
women and children recover valuable materials by burning devices to melt away non-valuable materials, using mercury and acids to recover gold, and dismantling devices by hand to reclaim other materials of value. This process is like thea deadly poisenpoison for their bodies.
The best thing that we can do about e-waste is to resist buying a new device until we really need it. Try to get our old product repaired if possible
, and if it can’t be fixed, resell or recylerecycle it responsibly.
I think that the environment would be better if we think more responsibly about e-waste and try to be not in this harmful cycle to the environment.
