Ethical values are based on well-founded standards of right and wrong that prescribe what humans ought to do, usually in terms of rights, obligations, benefits to society, fairness, or specific virtues. It is the study of the values and guidelines by which we live, and the justification for the values and guidelines we follow (Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, 2010). Ethical values are important because they primarily describesdescribe who we are and what we accept to be true to life. Customarily, areour ethical values may be in opposition with different individuals who maintain different ethical values thenthan oneself. However, it doesn't imply that our values are wrong, it simply means we have different beliefs than others. This paper will address my values as a professional and client, and how these values could be challenged. I will also integrate experiences and address how my values differ from a professional to a client.
