The year is 2010, the outside world that I remember was calm, but the life that I lived was full of chaos. I was on a downward spiral with drugs and alcohol. It wasn’t even a month after graduating from high school and didn’t know what to do with my life. andAnd then it happened, I was sexually assaulted. theThe unknown future was terrifying, and I still remember it as if it happened yesterday.
Fast forward. theThe year is 2020, the outside world is in chaos and the life that I live finds peace and calmness within, we are thriving. I am using my past as the stepping stonesstone into an extraordinary future for my boys to show them that we will make it through anything life throws at us, and one day look back and be proud that we didn’t let the past chaos brake us but instead used it to push us to do better, and be better.
