Dear Editor-in-Chief of the “Methods X”,
My manuscript
with the title, “Theoretical Model to Determine the Effective Thermal Conductivity Coefficient of First Clad region in Photonic Crystal Fiber with the Hexagonal Hole Structure”Structure, transferred to MethosX from “Thermal Science and Engineering Progress,Basedbased on the editor’s suggestion.
onOn 05/31/2020, I received an email about re-submitre-submitting a revised version of my manuscript.
I have two questions about the re-submission of the manuscript according to the aims and scopes of “Methods X”.
1- Is it possible that I
changecan change the title of the paper and omit the numerical results of the previous article?
The presented method can be extended in a trigonal lattice structure and also can be used in the heat transfer tubes with larger dimensions than fiber optics (in millimeters and centimeters). In other words, the presented method can be used to determine the effective thermal conductivity of any heat transfer pipes that have hexagonal or trigonal structure.
So itIt is better thatto omit the numerical results of the effective thermal conductivity coefficient of Photonic Crystal Fiber omitted in the method presentation.
2- Can the magazine
to eliminate the cost of publishing for some people exceptionally?people?
As I mentioned in the text of the letter, I live in Iran and it is impossible for me to pay the fee for the free access paper. If the rules of
methodMethods X allow that for special cases, the paper accepts manuscripts for publication without payment by the author. Otherwise, please cancel my request in MethodMethods X due to the inability of the author to paymentpay.

Kind regards
,
Dr. Maryam Karimi
