I am writing this cover letter to support my application to apply for the film trainee (production) position at Marv films. I found this through the Creative Access positive action scheme, asand as a young black womenwoman trying to break into film, I knew it was an opportunity I could not pass up. I am organised, hardworking, creative and most importantly passionate about film. I have always wanted a career within the film industry so I studied Digital Arts at university which gave me many useful technical skills.

When I saw this opportunity, I was keen right away because of Matthew Vaughn’s attachment to the film. He has been responsible for so many movies that
influencehave influenced my enthusiasm for film. The films he produces are bright and playful in artistic style and he iswas particularly innovative with the use of CGI during the action sequences in Kingsman. This particular project is ideal tofor me, as the director Jon S. Baird has so many incredible director achievements so I know I would be trained by the best crew. I am eager to have the chance to learn first-hand the process of this movie magic.

As shown on my
cvCV, during my third year at university I interned as a social media content creator. This meant I had to be highly organised and motivated so I was able to meet all of my deadlines. This year taught me how flexible I am, I was able to quickly adapt my plan for my final year project and complete my degree at home through the pandemic and still achieve a 2:1. I am diligent and have a good sense of time management, shown by my adherence to my university deadlines while working as an intern.
