I am a first-year student. I took a leave of absence during the last fall semester, in September, 2020. I am planning to return this January, 2021, and I am very excited to pursue my studies.
However, my family is having financial difficulties, and I am writing to respectfully request additional aid. I was forced to take a leave of absence because my father was in critical condition after surgery. Because I am his only living relative in Korea, I had to take care of him. He has had several heart surgeries such as a valve replacement and an aortic dissection over the years, and the high costs of hospital bills have been heavily straining my family's finances. andIts debts are growing, and to makethis had made it hard for me to pay for tutiontuition. Since I am solely dependent upon my family's finances, I would be most grateful if you would take my circumstances into account.
